Bombers Broken Pelham Slow Twist

The mouthpiece has a slow, gradual twist along its length, which adds a mild amount of texture to the bit, creating additional contact points on the horse’s bars and tongue. The “slow twist” is less sharp than a corkscrew or fast twist, so it provides extra control without being overly harsh. The single offset  joint in the middle lessens the nutcracker action when pressure is applied. Like all Pelhams, it has shanks that allow for leverage, along with two rein options—one for direct rein pressure and one that activates the curb rein. The mouth piece is made from blue sweet iron that, oxidizes easily, encourages salivation helps bit acceptance, and is warm and sweet.
